Women's League : UPSA post 5-3 second leg win over MPSC

United Pukhao Sports Association (UPSA) thumped MPSC 5-3 in a high scoring encounter to complete a 7-5 aggregate win in the ongoing 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League organised by AMFA at Artificial Turf Ground.
UPSA who played out a 2-2 first leg draw with MPSC produced a stellar performance today to beat MPSC 5-3 thanks to doubles from Asem Roja and Lhingneilam Kipgen.
Ng Bala drew first blood in the opening minute to give MPSC the lead but Lhingneilam Kipgen pulled level four minutes later before Asem Roja banged in two goals back to back in the 24th and the 42nd minute to hand UPSA a 3-1 first half lead.
Bala scored again at the stroke of the hour mark which also saw Lhingneilam score for UPSA to make it 4-2.Arubam Nilam scored another for MPSC in the 80th minute to keep the hope of a draw alive but Nongmeikapam Sibani made sure that UPSA enjoyed a two goal cushion with a fine strike in the 85th minute.
With MPSC failing to convert their chances, UPSA walked home 5-3 .
Later in the day, KRYPHSA sealed a 1-0 aggregate win over YWC-Langthabal having settled the first leg in a 0-0 draw.
The lone goal which earned KRYPHSA the narrow win was scored by Laishram Bibicha in the 46th minute.
