Lungnila recalled on her 19th death anniversary

The 19th death anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth was observed today at Thoi Thoi Adventure Park at Takhellambam Konjil.
The main highlight of the observance was offering floral tributes to the photo of the former student of Little Flower School.
Addressing the gathering, managing director of Thoi Thoi Adventure Park, Kh Inaoba said that Lungnila Elizabeth was murdered when she was just a little girl.
Saying that his family has been observing the remembrance programme since her 4th death anniversary with a message to end the culture of violence, Inaoba maintained that the parents of Lungnila named their daughter as a Manipuri in her last rite.

"Lungnila represents a united Manipur," he said and added that the programme also aims to promote oneness among the people of Manipur.
He said that Lungnila, unfortunately, breathed her last a that time when Ningol Chakkouba was celebrated in 2003 .
Inaoba further stated that Thoi Thoi Adventure Park will arrange a special programme in honour of Lungnila during Sangai Festival.
He appealed to the people to not discard the entry tickets/coupons of the park bought between November 21 and 30 as a lucky draw with attractive prizes will be conducted after collecting the entry tickets/coupons.
It may be mentioned that Lungnila was kidnapped from in front of her school (Little Flower School) while she was just eight years old and studying in Class III on November 3, 2003 .
After remaining traceless for days, the decomposed remains of the student were found dumped at Sadokpam on November 12, the same year.
