Imphal, November 04 2022:
District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) trainees have appealed the Education Minister to announce the results of the 2nd year examination of 16th batch of DIET trainees at the earliest.
Addressing media persons during a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today, DIET trainee (2019-21 batch) Moirangthem Guneshwori shared that the 2nd year examination was conducted from April 28 to May 9 of this year.
However the results of this exam have not yet been declared, despite 5 months having passed since the exam ended.
This is causing tremendous distress to the trainees owing to the impending TET examination tentatively scheduled for November, she maintained.
Moirangthem Guneshwori further claimed that some trainees met with the Joint Director on October 18 to air their grievances.
They were assured that the results will be announced by November 3.When this assurance failed to materialise, the trainees once again visited the SCERT office today where they were informed that the Commissioner was attending a board meeting at Secretariat and the results will be announced after the meeting concludes.
As such, the trainee has urged the authority concerned to announce the 2nd year exam results at the promised time adding that they are in anguish over the approaching TET exams and the Government's notice for recruitment of primary teachers.
