Career counselling programme conducted

Centre For Skilling And Technical Support (CSTS) Imphal under the aegis of Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) and in collaboration with Kekru Yairi Club Yairipok organised a 1-day career counselling programme on "Job Oriented Technical Courses" at Kekru Lai Haraobung Community Hall yesterday.
It was attended by CIPET Imphal, Training in-charge, Irom Ranjit Singh; Testing & Placement, Head of Department, RK Sheila Devi; Tool Room & Processing, Head of Department, H Panmei; Admission executive, Surajkumar; Kekru Yairi Club Yairipok president, Puyam Tiken Singh and Kekru Development Youth Club president, Longjam Yaimabi Singh as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Irom Ranjit stated that the career counselling programme which began on October 31 in Churachandpur will be conducted in different venues across the State till November 10 .
He continued that the 3-6 months training in their preferred field would be provided to people up to 18 years of age and have completed Classes VIII, IX, X and XII.
Irom Ranjit also mentioned that accommodation, food and other requirements would be provided free of cost to the trainees during the training programme.
Officials of CIPET Imphal also enlightened the gathering about CIPET, activities carried out by the institute over the years, training facilities and other vocational courses.
