Awareness programmes organised

Churachandpur Battalion of IGAR (South) on Friday organised Vigilance Awareness Gram Sabha at Hengkot, Tuilamjang and T/Khongkhai villages in Churachandpur district as part of Vigilance Awareness Week.
In a release, PRO JGAR (S) informed that the Gram Sabha dwelt on issues related to corruption, its effect on development of nation and measures to eradicate corruption from grassroots level.
Due emphasis was given on preventive and punitive vigilance, surveillance and detection basic so as to bring together all the stakeholders to participate in the prevention of corruption and raise public awareness about the threats posed by corruption.
In this regard the Gram Sabha was adequately organised to percolate down the essence of vigilance, prevailing anomalies and mitigation measures/preventive laws, the PRO said, adding that the locals appreciated Assam Rifles for conducting such informative events for increasing awareness amongst populace.
A total of 110 villagers attended the event.
Meanwhile, Chassad Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a cyber awareness lecture for troops of Assam Rifles on the occasion of Cyber Jagrukata Diwas at COB Aishi in Kamjong district on Friday.
During the lecture troops were made aware with respect to do s and don'ts on social media, safeguarding mobile and personal computer from cyber attacks.
