Addictive items sold in school area: FESOK

Volunteers of Federal Students' Organisation Kangleipak (FESOK) led by its vice president conducted drive in areas close to Tamphasana Higher Secondary School, GP Women College and Brighter Academy, New Checkon on Friday to oversee whether or not the government stricture against sale of addictive substances within 100 metre radius of educational institutions are being adhered to.
In a release, FESOK secretary publicity Sanasam Preety infornied that addictive substances including liquor and tobacco products injurious to health were found openly sold in several vendors close the three educational institutions.
Expressing serious concern over abundant availability of such harmful substances, the secretary appealed to volunteers of local clubs and residents to extend support in conducting drive against narcotics and addictive substances.
