YWC-L, PTCC victorious in Men's U-19 One Day Trophy

YWC-Langthabal and PTCC-Patsoi Part III emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 1st MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy.
After electing to bat first, PTCC amassed 226 runs for all wickets down at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College Ground in 38.4 overs against MPA-Thounaojam courtesy half centuries from Chingakham Nikhil (57-ball 56, 7 fours and 1 six) and Loukrakpam Anao (68-ball 68 not out, 7 fours and 1 six) and a significant 37 from Paonam Champion.
PTCC then bowled out MPA for 169 in 34.3 overs to clinch their first Group D victory.

In PTCC's innings, Soram Naoboy of MPA fetched four wickets (4/30 in 7.4 overs) while Elangbam Rohit picked two (2/30 in 8 overs) as four others finished with a wicket each.
In the chase MPA faltered despite Lucky Elangbam (42), Elangbam Rohit (33) and Soram Naoboy (47) putting in their best effort as Paonam Champion (4/27) and Loukrakpam Anao (3/29) and Moirangthem Gung (2/21) ripped their line up apart with ease.
Loukrakpam Anao who produced an allround performance was adjudged man of the match.
In a Group A match staged at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, YWC opened their group campaign with a comfortable 110 run victory over CYCLONE-Thangmeiband.
YWC piled up 208 runs for all wickets down in allotted 40 overs courtesy a half century knock from Herojit Nepram (72 off 100 balls, 8 fours) and notable contributions from Pukhrambam Rohit (37) and Heisnam Manikanta (33) before bowling out CYCLONE for 98 runs in 37 overs.
Suraj Meisnam (3/19) and Aditya Das (2/36) of CYCLONE led the bowling attack in YWC's innings before they succumbed at 98 in the chase despite Thomsan's unbeaten 43 off 111 balls.
Kangjam Thoithoiba of YWC-L returned with the best bowling figures of 3/12 in 8 overs as Seram Robinson finished with 2/9 in 5 overs.
Herojit Nepram who topscored for YWC was declared man of the match.
