YWC, PTCC cruise in MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy

YWC and PTCC emerged easy winners in Tuesday's fixtures of the 1st MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy.
YWC inflicted a crushing 110-run defeat on CYCLONE in their Group A meeting at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Put in to bat, YWC scored 208 after being dismissed in 40 overs.
Their total revolved around efforts by Herojit Nepram (72), Pukhrambam Rohit (37) and Heisnam Man-ikanta (33).YWC then produced a disciplined bowling performance to stop CYCLONE at 98 in 37 overs for their comprehensive victory.
Kangjam Thoithoiba led the attack where he took three wickets as Seram Robinson bagged two, with Heisnam Manikanta, Yumnam Athouba and Sorokhaibam Dailish accounting for one apiece in their triumph.
In their run chase, Thomsan, who made 43 off 111 balls, and A Ronald (16) were the only notable run getters.
Earlier, Suraj Meisnam picked up three wickets and Aditya Das got two for CYCLONE.
Herojit Nepram earned the man of the match title for his 72 runs.
PTCC beat MPA by 57 runs at Oriental College.
The winning side posted 226/10 in 38.4 overs after opting to bat first.
In the innings, Loukrakpam Anao hit an un-beaten 68, Chingakham Nikhil scored 56, Paonam Champion made 37 and Dhirendakishore Naorem contributed 11.PTCC then successfully defended their total after they bowled out MPA in 34.3 overs for 169 with the help of Paonam Champion, who racked up four wickets, and Loukrakpam Anao, who scalped three wickets, backed by two wickets from Moirangthem Gung and one from Direndakishore.
In their response, fighting efforts by Soram Naoboy (47), Lucky Elangbam (42) and Elangbam Rohit (33) weren't enough for MPA.
Earlier, Soram Naoboy, who took four wickets, was the chief destroyer for MPA.
Loukrakpam Anao was given the man of the match trophy for his unbeaten 68 and three scalps.
