15th Sena Cup final: YPO Sora emerge champ via tie breaker

In an evenly and hard fought contest, YPO Sora came twice from behind to lift the 15th Sena Cup beating UBSA Mantak via the tie breaker at Kakching Wairi today.
The complexion of the game to come unfolded as early as the 5th minute when Addison of UBSA Mantak put his team forward with a fine move from the midfield, found the gaps in the defence and slotted home the ball.
Stung by the early goal, YPO Sora, put more men on the attack and started finding the gaps in the defence line of UBSA Mantak to ultimately find the equaliser through Ali Khan in the 13th minute of the first half.
With both teams tied with one goal apiece, the two teams started warily of each other, adopting a defensive approach and relying on swift counter attack.
Latching on the ball at near the penalty box of YPO Sora, attacking mid-fielder Rang released a powerful volley which beat the custodian UBSA Mantak hands down, take his team ahead in the 48th minute.
Thereafter, UBSA Mantak withdrew and instead adopted a defensive approach which ultimately proved to be their undoing, as Ali Khan was at it again in the 61st minute of the match to find the net at the far end to bring his team back into the game.
With both teams tied 2 each after regulation time, penalty kick was resorted to.
YPO Sora kept their cool and managed to convert four kicks, through Feroze Khan, Justline, Lamat and Ali Khan, while for UBSA only Addison, Chung and Neiful could beat the goalkeeper, handing the champion's trophy to YPO, Sora.
