Khanglai 2014 comes to an end

The Youth Conference of Evangelical Synod Church (ESC), Khanglai 2014 which began from Jan 16 with the theme 'A sanctified vessel for God's use' ended with a success on Jan 19 at Chiengkonpang, Ccpur.
The conference began with a grand ceremony on Jan 16 evening as Elder Hena lighted the ceremonial lamp.
The four-day affair witnessed presentation of songs and items by talented artists, preaching of Gospel messages, seminar for youth, etc.
Noted singers like the Evan LL Muona, Tingneichong, Zami, Nunthar, Bethsy, et al besides different area choir groups including the far-famed Bawngkawn Pastorate Choir of Mizoram mesmerised the congregations with their soul-touching numbers.

The main speakers of the conference were Rev T Kampu, President of AAS, Guwahati; Rev Henkholien, LWS and Pastor Lawrence, ASCM, Delhi, Missionary with IEM.
The resource persons of the youth seminar held on Saturday included Rev T Siema, Director, ESC; K Soitinthang J Gangte, Cluster Head/BH, ICICI Bank, Shillong; Dr M Lalzadal, CMO, NFSG, MHA and Evangelist V Lienthuom.
They spoke on various topics ranging from youth's roles in family, society, Church and environmental protection.
The conference was organised with a project to setup a Christian library building.
The organisers have received gifts, sponsorship offers and donations from well wishers and the congregations towards the realisation of the project, said S Thienlaljoy Gangte, MCS, a member of the organising committee.
