Victims' families demand dismissal of coach

Families of Yaiphabi and Chunka, victims of assault perpetrated by boxer Ng Dingko, today demanded dismissal of Ng Dingko as coach.
Speaking to media persons today at Press Club, father of Yaiphabi, Robert Huiyam and brother-in-law of Chunka, S Amon said that they are not happy that Dingko is suspended by the authority while demanding his dismissal.

Meanwhile, a meeting of inmates, coaches and staff of SAI, SAG Centre held today and chaired by Kh Sabitri Chanu, Sr Judo coach strongly condemned the Jan 13 incident while terming the act as anti-sports community.
The meeting also expressed sincere thanks to the concerned Govt, Non-Govt, civil society organisations and individuals and SAI for initiating appropriate steps in regard to the matter.
It also thanked Shija Hospital, its doctors, nurses and staff and its MD Dr Palin for the help and cooperation to the victim.
The meeting also prayed for the speedy recovery of the victim, informed a statement.
