Finalists of women and U-16 boys polo tourneys declared joint winners

Imphal, February 02 2022:
The 17th Women's State Level Polo Tournament and the 5th U16 Boys State Level Polo Tournament culminated today with finalists in both the age group being declared as joint winners as the final matches could not be staged due to poor ground condition following the last night downpour.
Eventually, women's finalists Chingkheihunba Polo Club and Linthoingambi Kangjei Lup and U-16 boys' finalists Arvind Polo Club-A and Lingthoingambi Kangjei Lup were declared joint winners of the respective tournaments.

The four teams were feted with cash rewards of Rs 10,000 each during the valedictory function of the tournament which was graced by Haobijam Balidas Singh, Administration Officer, Rural Engineering Department; Sunil Elangbam, secretary general of Manipur Olympic Association; Dr Konsam Saratchandra, president All Manipur Polo Association as presidium members.
W Kedarnath of K&MM Riding School, Singjamei was also adjudged most promising player of the U-16 boys tournament.
It may be noted that 7 U-16 boys' teams and 5 women's teams took part in these tournaments organised by the All Manipur Polo Association at Iroishemba Kangjeibung since January 20 .
