Kakching, February 02 2022:
The Prime Minister is free to visit any part of the country but PM Modi's inability to visit Punjab on December 5 last due farmers' protest shows that people are against BJP and is a sign to uproot the party from the country, stated Sugnu MLA K Ranjit.
K Ranjit stated this while opening an office of Congress party at Kakching Khunou Bazar wherein both INC and CPI flags were hoisted after an alliance involving both the parties was formed recently.
Addressing the gathering, the Congress MLA said different political parties including Congress ruled India ever since the British handed independence and developed the country under a beautiful system of democracy but the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to break apart the country in its eight years rule.
Like minded political parties formed a political alliance ahead of assembly elections for five states including Manipur and for the 2024 Lok Sabha election in order to save the country and uproot BJP, he said adding that BJP government has gradually handed public sector services and institutions like airports, railway and nationalized banks to some wealthiest persons of the country.
The Government managed to take up development projects with huge income collected from these services and institutions but wealthy persons will do whatever they like after owning these public sector services and institutions.
This is what the BJP is trying to gradually sell off public sector services and institutions, he said adding that BJP has been violating democratic norms while various independent investigating agencies put under its control are unable to function independently.
He also recalled how BJP violated democratic norms and formed the government after the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly election though the party won only 21 seats compared to Congress party which emerged single largest party with 28 seats.
In view of BJP's distortion of democratic norms and save the country, altogether 19 like-minded political parties including Congress and CPI formed an alliance at the national level to uproot BJP and accordingly hoisted Congress and CPI flags together at Kakching Khunoii Bazar office of Congress party, Ranjit said adding that the political alliance will remain intact till the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
