BBAUD urges Govt to provide job to World Physique C'ship silver medalist Solimla Jajo

Body Building Association of Ukhrul District (BBAUD) has urged the State Government to provide a suitable job to Ukhrul athlete Solimla Jajo who has won a silver medal at the recently concluded 13th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship & Annual Congress held at Phuket, Thailand.
Solimla Jajo who is currently pursuing 1st Semester (BA) at Pettigrew College, Ukhrul had also won a silver medal at the 54rd Asian Juniors' Model contest this year.
Speaking to this correspondent at Phungreitang in Ukhrul, Solimla who also secured top honour in the recently held 60th Mr Manipur contest shared hers struggles on the way to her present position.

She said she started attending physical training class at Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul at the age of 14 under the guidance of Laishangthem Robert Meitei.
She underwent rigorous training at the gym with strict adherence to instructions and discipline before participating in the Miss Manipur model physique competition in 2019 .
Mention may be made that Solimla also won inter district contest this year and was among the top five winners at Federation Cup and Eastern India competition before representing India at the 54rd Asian Juniors' Model contest -2022 held at Maldive.
The 13th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship was held from December 6 to 12 and secured silver medal in the Model Physique competition which was participated by women from 44 countries.
Meanwhile, Body Building Association of Ukhrul District (BBAUD) extended heartiest congratulations to Solimla on her achievement and for bringing laurels to the State.
BBAUD president Thotmayo Luithui said that Solimla Jajo has set a fine example to the youth and shown all that bodybuilding has immense career prospects.
Thotmayo Luithui also expressed gratitude to CM N Biren Singh for his moral and financial support to Solimla Jajo which has enabled her to contest at international level.
The CM's enthusiastic effort to develop Manipur into " Sports Power house of India" and his utmost concern to equally develop hill and Valley has brought significant change in all sphere, said BBAUD president while urging the State Government to provide a suitable government job to Solimla Jajo based on her achievement as a token of encouragement to the upcoming generation.
