Imphal, December 18 2022:
The Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has decried the act of setting ablaze a Senapati-bound truck by volunteers of Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) near Kohima on December 16 .
Speaking to media persons at Tadubi this afternoon, SDSA president Yonuo Peter said that such act of violence perpetrated during the festive season of Christmas has hurt the sentiments of all the people of Senapati district.
Yonuo Peter appealed to the SAPO to review their decision and lift its ban on free movement of people, particularly students in the spirit of Christianity and brotherhood.
He said that the SDSA would take pro-active role in resolving the issue through dialogue and negotiation between the two sides.
