State team leaves for Karate Championship

Manipur karate team consisting of 14 players and four officials left Imphal on Sunday to participate in the KIO All India Karate Championship for under-21 years and seniors to be organised by Karate India Organisation and Uttarakhand Karate Organisation at Dehradun from February 17 to 19 .
In a release, Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association general secretary RK Lansana Singh informed that the players were selected on the basis of their performance at the State Level under-21 and senior tournament organised by it at SAI STC Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, on January 28 and 29.According to the release, the state team includes Soibam James Singh, Ch Lanchenba Singh, Thongam Suraj Singh, Heikham Jemson Singh, Thounaojam Herojit, Y Stalin Singh, L Yaiphaba Singh, M Joychandra, Km Sofia, Konjengbam Dorita Chanu, Ph Anandi Devi, Kh Roshni Chanu and Khumukcham Daina as the players while the officials are Md Tala Ahamed, Soibam Bindeshori Chanu, Arambam Greatson Meitei and Md Raffijudin.
