SOREPA condoles demise of Chaoren

The armed Socialist Revolutionary Army (SOREPA), Kangleipak has expressed deep condolences over the demise of RPF president Irengbam Chaoren and paid revolutionary honour to the departed revolutionary leader.
In a condolence note, SOREPA said that Irengbam Chaoren joined the revolutionary group RPF from a very young age and served the outfit as its chairman since 1990 till the time of his demise on Friday (February 10) .
He also took a prominent role in the united revolutionary struggle in Kangleipak/Manipur and WESEA region, the outfit said.
While describing Irengbam Chaoren as a humble and disciplined person who treated revolutionaries dearly, SOREPA said that Chaoren was a visionary revolutionary leader who worked whole heartedly for a united struggle in Kangleipak/Manipur and WESEA region.
He was also a committed revolutionary leader and served as convenor of CorCom, the conglomerate of underground groups operating in Kanglei-pak/Manipur, since its inception and held the same post till the time of his demise, SOREPA said, adding the void left by Chaoren in the revolutionary movement would be hard to fill.
The condolence note further said that the entire central committee members of SOREPA and cadres took part in condolence meets held at central headquarters and units and observed a two-minute silence in honour of the departed RPF president.
The outfit also shared the pain and grief of Chaoren's bereaved family as well as of CorCom, RPF and the people.
