SOREPA salutes late Chaoren

The Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA) Kangleipak has offered revolutionary salute to expired RPF president Irengbam Chaoren.
The SOREPA Central Committee has condoled the demise of Irengbam Chaoren at around 10.30 am on February 10, 2023, conveyed a statement issued by its Chairman Toijam Ibochou.
Irengbam Chaoren was the eldest of three brothers bom to Irengbam Ibomcha and Tongbram (Ningol) Jamuna of Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai.
He was bom on November 2, 1957, it said.
Irengbam Chaoren joined the RPF at a very young age and he served as the outfit's president from 1990 till his last breath.
He was a key leader of the revolutionary movements of Kangleipak/Manipur as well as WESEA, Toijam Ibochou said.
Irengbam Chaoren was a key leader of the masses who led the revolutionary movements of Kangleipak Manipur and WESEA with a far-sighted vision.
He was always compassionate and caring towards all revolutionaries, it said.
In his capacity as the Convenor of CorCom, Chaoren worked relentlessly to unify all the revolutionary groups of Kangleipak/Manipur in order to wage the liberation struggle collectively.
The SOREPA Central Committee Chairman said that the untimely demise of RPF president Irengbam Chaoren has left an irreparable void in the ongoing revolutionary movement.
It also prayed that all the revolutionary groups may come together and follow the footsteps of Irengbam Chaoren.
It conveyed that the SOREPA Central Committee and all members/cadres of the party held condolence meetings by observing silence for two minutes at the party's central headquarters and all offices in honour of the departed revolutionary leader.
"The SOREPA shares the pain and grief being endured by CorCom, RPF, the bereaved family and the masses on the untimely demise of RPF president Irengbam Chaoren", it added.
