Night football: JSYC, TYPOM, JSFT progress to reach pre-quarters

A promising young striker, Lalkhanlen scored a hat-trick to help Jamsat Songtun Youth Club (JSYC) reacn the pre-quarterfinals in the ongoing KFA's Open Night Football Tournament at D Phaihel village in Kangpokpi district.
Lalkhanlen found his first goal and team's opener Tintong Football Club, New Keithelmanbi in the early 3rd minute before adding two goals in the 38th and 40th minutes to give JSYC a com -fortable 3-0 win over the New Keithelmanbi side for their spot in the pre quarterfinal round.
Earlier, in the first match.
TYPOM Maohing thrashed United Saparmeina Youth Club by a similar 3-0 margin to book a berth in the pre quarterfinal round.
Seivanglen (26 ), Letjahao (52), and Lungoumang (70) scored for the Maohing side.
In the second match.
JSFT Saparmeina area over whelmed Ekou Mulam 3-1 to enter the Pre-quarterfinal round.
Satkhohen (3), Lal-jakap (61).Jangkhosei (84 ) scored for the Saparmeina side while Thangminsem (31) scored for the Ekou Mulam side.
In women's volleyball, Saikotjang Youth Club defeated Kikim Team in straight sets (25/14.25/19) in the first round while Kangpokpi Women Police defeated Volleyball Lovers 2-1 (18/25, 25/21, 25/23) .
In men's vollevball, Lomgol defeated Frienas of Unity in straight sets (25/9,25/18) and Gelbung Youth Club too defeated Chalbung Youth Club in straight sets (25/18,25/24) .
