Imphal, October 21 2022:
Close on the heels of opening a second office of Shiv Sena in the State, the rival camps have started slandering each other.
Speaking to media persons at the Babupara office of Shiv Sena today, Chingtham Chandramani, the camp's general secretary (administration), alleged that the opening of a Shiv Sena office in the State under the leadership of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray was driven by personal interests.
He said that the party headed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shambaji Shinde is an ally of BJP and it has its State office at Babupara with Moirangthem Tombi as the State unit president.
Shiv Sena was founded by late Balasaheb Thackeray in 1966 and his one basic principle was not to ever forge any alliance with Congress party.
However, Uddhav Thackeray formed an alliance with Congress party just to secure the Chief Minister's seat and the post of party president in total contravention of the party's principle espoused by the founder, Chandramani said.
