CM distributes agriculture kits, old age pension cards

Senapati, October 21 2022:
Senapati district administration organised District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit on Friday for the month of October at Multipurpose Mall, Mini Secretariat, Senapati.
Attending the programme, chief minister N Biren distributed 23 agricultural kits such as knapsack sprayer, maize seed, mustard seed, and pea seed and 11 Manipur Old Age Pension card to benenciaries Various facilities like screening of non-communi cable disease and Covid vaccination were also provided.
It may also be mentioned that Meeyamgi Numit is an initiative of the CM to deliver service at the doorstep to the people of Manipur.
It is also a platform to hear and address grievane es of the people at the earliest.
Meeyamgi Numit is held on every 3rd Friday of the month and in case of a general holiday, it will be on Thursday.

More than 20 departments opened stalls to address public grievances and queries during the programme and many departments provided various schemes such as distribution of winter vegetable seeds to 18 select beneficiaries of Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) under Hortculture department.

DC Pawan Yadav informed that the district administration and police department are regularly checking the newcomers/outsiders in the district.
One of the problems faced by the district administration is the absence of Labour Department as many newcomers who come to Tamenglong and Noney districts arc labourers.
As such, the La bour Department needs to issue ILP cards to them, he pointed out, while maintaining that the district administration can only issue temporaty papers.

It may be mentioned here that this month's Meeyamgi Numit was held outside the Mini Secretariat complex for the fust time ever since its launch in July this year.
Upcoming Meeyamgi Nu mit events are also scheduled to be held at different locations across the district for the convenience of the people.
Thoubal: District administra tion Thoubal organised Meeyam gi Numit at the election counting hall of the DC complex on Friday.
Deputy commissioner Ah anthem Subhash heard around 250 complaints during the pro gramme and instructed the line departments concerned to act on the matters.
Speaking to this daily, DC Subnash informed that matters that were addressed include old age pension, CMHT cards, distribution of 10 licenses under Food Safety Department, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, 10 gas connections under Prad han Mantri Ujjawala Yojana for Thoubal.

Me then appealed to all concerned to avail the welfare schemes/ benefits provided by the government during People's Day.
