Consulative meeting held

Speaking during the Consulative meeting held at TNK community hall, Senapati District Headquarters yesterday, former MP and Forest Officer, Mani Charenamei, said he will work as an Independent Candidate as it provides a better platform for the betterment of the Nagas.
He asserted that he will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2014 as an Independent candidate for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary seat.
He said he chose to work independently considering the limited advantages he will get if he joins the BJP or the Congress Party, which he added will curtail his development work for the Naga people.
Though appreciation the objective of the Naga People's Party, he said an Independent candidate will have more provisions to present in the Parliament.
He also assured his support to bring peace among the Nagas.
The meeting which was the third consulative meeting after Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Chandel, was attended by the Villages' Chairmen, Secretaries, student leaders, social workers from various village of Senapati District.
