NIT flags off from Pallel

Brig.Rajiv Mankotia, VSM Commandant 26 Sector Assam Rifles flagged off a National Integration Tour from the Headquarters of 26 Sector Assam Rifles, Pallel today.
The National Integration Tour program is being organised by 20 Assam Rifles under Operation Sadbhavana during which a team of 25 students led by 2 teachers from Chandel District would be visiting many historical places at Delhi and Agra.
While briefing media persons on the sidelines of the flag off ceremony, Brig.
Rajiv Mankotia said that the National Integration Tour was organized for the students of remote border areas of Chandel District to take them to the Capital of the country and show them how the peoples of these areas stayed.
He also said that, this is one of the steps taken up by the Assam Rifles and Indian Army basically to exposed young children and show them the country around for increasing their knowledge.
He further said that all arrangements have been done for them at Delhi and Agra and the nearest army units have been informed about them.
During the tour, the children would also be meeting the Chief of Army Staff at Army Headquarters Delhi and the President of the Country, if feasible, he added.
