Fire breaks out at Old Lambulane

Imphal, February 20 2023:
A fire that broke out in a room of a rented home in Old Lambulane area under Imphal Police Station on Monday has left damages in terms lakhs of rupees.
According to a police report, the fire broke out in a wood-boarded room (25x16 ft) located on the first floor of a house belonging to one Athem Hangsha of Old Lambulane, rented by one Md Bariq of Keibung, around 1.22pm on Monday.
The fire caused 2 LPG cylinders inside the house to explode and caused extensive damage to the house.
However, no casualty was reported.
On receiving news of the fire, a team of Manipur Fire Service rushed to the scene and tried to extinguish the flames.
Around 4 water tenders and 1 Bolero Portable Pump were used in fighting the fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
