Show cause notices issued to absentees

Tamenglong district deputy commissioner Hungyo Worshang has issued a show cause notice to government employees who missed the election training programme held from January 19 to 22 (first round) and February 19 and 21 (second).
The DC sought explanation in written or personal appearance as to why action should not be initiated against them.
He further warned of stringent necessary action including suspension from services in case of non-response to the show cause notice.
"Polling personnel who were absent during the second round of training have to furnish explanation to the notice immediately", said the DC.
In another notice, the deputy commissioner said that all polling and counting agents of the candidates will be allowed to enter polling station and counting hall on the production of certificate of double dose of Covid-19 vaccination.
In case they are not vaccinated or single dose vaccinated, an RT-PCR negative report from an authorised laboratory taken within 72 hours from the start of polling or counting is required, the notice added.
