Imphal, November 03 2022:
With the Manipur Civil Service Combined Competitive Examination-Mains 2016 (MCSCCE) recently conducted afresh and the interview scheduled to be held from November 7, 2022 to November 22, 2022 for selection of the candidates for various services and posts, the All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) said today that it felt pertinent to revisit "various irregularities and lapses committed by the MPSC" .
In a statement today, the apex tribal student body of Manipur said that the recently conducted afresh MCSCCE (Mains) 2016 has been bogged down for the last six years, thereby, causing nightmare, irreparable dent to its own reputation and demoralizing those who had already been inducted into and later removed from services for no fault of theirs.
"It is not denying the fact that past irregularities continue to haunt the candidates who seem to feel that the above examination may still derail or plunge into the past black hole as the maxim 'old habits die hard' is not always wrong," it added.
In all fairness, the ATSUM expected that MPSC will deliver justice to regain the trust of the candidates in particular and the public in general and reinstate the reputation by being fair and unbiased in the process of selection.
The tribal student body said, "Appreciating the assurance given by the Chairman MPSC to the candidates on the official website that the authorities on board will not be influenced by any external consideration and the only criteria will be that the deserving candidates will get the fruits of their labour, the ATSUM fervently appeals to the MPSC authorities to ensure that the entire process of selection of candidates is strictly carried out in a transparent and unbiased manner devoid of nepotism, favouritism, technical flaws or influence from any external forces to pave way in selecting the deserving candidates" .
