'Visit Sangai Fest' roadshow held in Bangkok

The Department of Tourism along with the Tourism Corporation of Manipur Ltd (TCML) organised a roadshow at Central World Shopping Plaza, Bangkok to promote Manipur Sangai Festival during the North East India Festival held here from July 29 to 31 .
The festival saw performances from various artists from Manipur including the famous troupe Rhythms of Manipur, SIYOM - an experimental folk based musical ensemble and a fashion show parade by Robert Naorem showcasing handloom products of Manipur.
The officials from Manipur Tourism comprising of W Romen Singh, Assistant Director (Tourism), Manipur and Bidyananda Hanjabam, Manager (PR & Events), TCML, shared information about the upcoming Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 and various other tourist attractions of the State with potential travellers of Thailand.
"The roadshow will help strengthen and increase inbound travel from Thailand to Manipur.
It will also enhance the marketing efforts of Manipur Tourism to promote Manipur Sangai Festival to travellers in the kingdom of Thailand" said W Romen Singh.
The event witnessed participation of over 13 tour operators from North Eastern States and over a hundred tour operators and agents from Thailand.

Thai Embassy hosts dinner on Indo-Thai Friendship: Minister of State for External Affairs, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh was the chief guest at a reception dinner organised today by the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi.
India on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Thailand.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister expressed his satisfaction with regard to the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
He also expressed joy that these celebrations coincided with the 75th anniversary oflndia' s Independence 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' (AKAM) .
The Minister further spoke about his recent visit to Thailand for the 2nd edition of the North-East India Festival from July 29 to 31 which is expected to open up substantial business opportunities for the North East Indian business community especially in tourism, agro and food processing sectors.
Thereafter, a short film commemorating the 75th anniversary of bilateral relations and a promotional film on "Amazing New Chapter: Responsible Tourism in Thailand" were released during the event.
This was followed by cultural performances by Thai troupes and remarks by the Deputy Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

The event concluded successfully, highlighting the warm relationship between India and Thailand with avenues for greater cooperation in various fields.
