IBSA, NAPSA cruise in Plate cricket

IBSA (Yumnam Leikai) beat KIYC (Kshetrigao) by 4 wickets while NAPSA (Kha Imphal) strolled to a 141-run win over Oscar (Paona Bazar) in Monday's fixtures of the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament.
IBSA chase downed a 113-run target after bowling out KIYC in 29.3 overs in their Group B meeting at Lanthabal Public Ground.
Robinson Sanasam, who batted at number 4, was unbeaten on 35 to guide IBSA to a convincing victory.
In the chase, Moirangthem Sunanda contributed 29.In the process, the winning side lost 2 each of their wickets to Azmad Kh and Aneesh Ahmed and one each to Md Aman and Md Zakariya Shah.
Earlier, Karan Prajapati made light of the KIYC batting order, racking up 5 wickets as Rajababu and Kangabam Ramananda snapped 2 wickets each to lay the foundation for their side's victory.
Mod Abdul Hamid (29), Geetchandra Morangthem (21) and Aneesh Ahmed (19) were the main run-getters in KIYC's innings.
Karan Prajapati was adjudged man of the match.
NAPSA, meanwhile, scored a total of 199/7 against Oscar after elected to bat and the Kha Imphal squad successfully defended their total courtesy of a fine bowling performance.
Tongbram Dhanakuber, who batted at 7, made his mark in the innings with an unbeaten 64 .
Other key contributors were Chingkhei Kshetrimayum (26 not out), Richard Kshetrimayum (27), Rojer Wahengbam (23), Bipin Ningthoujam (14) and Sengtung (13) .
NAPSA then needed 20.1 overs to wipe out the Oscar batting lineup for a mere 58 for their massive win in a Group A match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Chingkhei Kshetrimayum was the pick of NAPSA's bowlers.
He scalped 4 wickets as Rocky Yumnam and Bipin Ningthoujam claimed 2 each and Tongbram Dhanakuber chipped in with one.
Earlier, Robin Irengbam took 3 wickets for Oscar.
Chingkhei Kshetrimayum earned the man of the match trophy.
