Tengnoupal, August 01 2022:
The Bharatiya Janata Party, ST Morcha, Tengnoupal District has appealed to Chief Minister N Biren Singh to look into the demise of Khenkhup Lethil due to withholding of Ambulance by 20 AR at Khudengthabi and find a long lasting solution to ensure similar incidents do not happen in the future.
In a release, BJP ST Morcha informed that on July 30, 2022, an ambulance carrying Khenkhup Lethil of Phaicham Veng, Moreh was withheld at Khudengthabi Check Post by 20 Assam Rifles.
The delay prevented Khenkhup Lethil from receiving emergency medical care.
"Even with genuine medical reports from Sub-Divisional Hospital Moreh, the ambulance was not given a priority", it added.
ST Morcha also recalled a similar incident wherein one Lunkhomang Haokip of Sita village was withheld at Sita Check Post last year.
"Gone are the days when emergency treatment for medical purposes was not accessible due to non availability of all weather roads.
Having achieved this significant milestone under your leadership, we hope that the aforementioned subject matter should not hinder access to medical treatment", it concluded.
