EECHAL celebrates 17th foundation day

Ereipak Enat Chanura Loinashmlon (EECHAL) celebrated its 17th foundation day at the multipurpose hall of All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), DMU campus here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, EECHAL president T Ibemcha asserted that they will never remain silent when others tried to destroy the traditional clothes produced by weavers of the land.
Stating that EECHAL was formed in 2005 to fight the outside forces affecting the indigenous culture, religion, clothing and tradition, Ibemcha pointed out that the objective of the organisation is to revive the indigenous culture and traditions and work for the welfare of the land.
The foundation day celebration was attended by Nupi Samaj president Th Ramani, Tammi Chingmi president Y Momon, Kuki Mother Union advisor Rose Mangshi Haokip, Kabui Mothers A president Atompui Kamei, UMO president M Sorojini, Leimakol president MS Rita, Nongpok Leingak Apunba Nupi Lup president Y Mema, NIMPAL president Th Iboyaima, ANUL president L Promo, Thoubal IMA president S Bimola and AMSU president H Chalamba as presidium members.
