JNMDA organises 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign

As a part of the 75th anniversary celebration of the country's independence and a campaign to motivate the people to hoist the tri-colour/national flag in their homes for three days - from August 13 to 15, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy on Monday organised a celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at the Yaipha Lamjing Lup community hall, Pishumthong Ningpm Leirak, here.
The function was attended by Youth Affairs & Sports director T Phulen Meitei, IMC corporator Oinam Romeo Singh, Yaipha Lamjing Lup president Oinam Chaoba Singh and JNMDA director Pukhram-bam Bilash Singh as chief guest, guests of honour and president respectively.
In his speech, T Phulen stressed that to make the fundamental rights guaranteed by the constitution meaningful every citizen ought to perform their duties as a responsible citizen, and every household hoist the tri-colour in their homes as part of the celebration of India's 75th year of independence.
Oinam Romeo Singh; Oinam Chaoba Singh and Pukhrambam Bilash Singh also spoke during the function.
Later, Lai-Haraoba, Pung Cholom, Dhol-Dholok, Nupa Pala and Vasanta Raas were performed by the artistes of JNMDA.
Shree Shree Radha Govinda Nupi Holi Dol Haobam Marak also presented Nupi Holi during the programme.
Local people and some officials of JNMDA attended the function.
