Discussion on future of Manipur held

Peoples For Human Rights and Climate Change (PHRCC) on Saturday conducted a one-day discussion on 'Consultation on Rethink ing the Future of Manipur' at The Classic Hotel, North AOC here.
Speaking during the programme, PHRCC co-convener M Kalanjoy termed as very unfortunate that there was large scale violence during the recent state assembly election.
If the state wants to progress unwanted incidents such as drug addiction, communal violence, crime against women and gun culture should stop, he stressed.
While informing that PHRCC will organise awareness on issues for safeguard of the future generation and building a strong Manipur, the co-convener also called upon the present generation to shoulder the responsibility for securing the future of the coming generations and abstain from all acts inimical to the society.
The programme was also attended by United NGOs Mission Manipur secretary U Nobokishore, advocate Rabi Khan and Imphal Times editor Khumukcham Ringku.
