In the context of Manipur too, there were a number of violent incidents during the recently concluded election and it is an open question what will be the future of the State if such violence is to continue, Kananjoy added.
PHRCC's Preity Nongmaithem in her keynote address said the State has seens numerous violent incidents during the last decades and there is a need to discuss such seen and unseen violence against humanity.
Mentioning that in this year alone there have been more than 60 violent incidents wherein 5 individuals have already lost their lives, Preity questioned whether a small State like Manipur has any future if such violent incidents continue to plague the society and what will be the future that the next generation will enjoy.
