'Sajibu Khudol Tamba' organised

Iramdam Kanba Apunba Lup (IKAL) organised 'Sajibu Khudol Tamba Eegi Khongul Leeba' programme with an aim to unite indigenes of the state at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound on Saturday.
The annual event organised by IKAL since 2014 was attended by Imphal East Zilla Pari shad up-adhyaksha Ksh Tama; AMWJU president W Shamjai; CIRCA president Somendro Thokchom; Tangkhul Naga Foothills Organisation president RV Son Zimik; Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Maha Sava president Anil Singh Goutam; All Manipur Sumang Leela Council secretary So ugrakpam Hemanta; IKAL president Naorem (o) Memma and advisor Adhikarimayum Redimala as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, IKAL secretary Wahengbam Luwangleima observed that the indigenous people of the state are in danger of getting extinct in near future.
In view of such an existential threat, organising such programme is perceived as the right step towards strengthening the fraternal bonding among indigenes of the state, he said.
As part of the programme, womenfolk presented gifts to men present at the function, and cultural shows were performed by various folk singers and artistes of the state.
