Imphal, April 16 2022:
Expressing apprehension about students reporting late at some examination centres, Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) urged those conducting the examination to check whether such students come late regularly or occasionally.
In a release, DESAM secretary education and academic affairs Thounaojam Somol Luwang said that they are sceptical about the late arrival of students for appearing the crucial CoHSEM examination which will shape their future.
There might be something behind the veil.
As such, authorities concerned should look into the matter seriously, he reiterated.
He informed that a special team of DESAM inspected several examination centres including Sangai Higher Secondary School, Mantripukhri; Savio English Higher Secondary School, Lamphel; Herbert School, Changangei; Heritage Convent, Uripok; and Pravabati College, Mayang Imphal on the day exam for Chemistry subject was conducted.
The examination was found underway smoothly in most of the centres they inspected.
However, exam organisers at Savio English Higher Secondary School used foul words indirectly to the inspecting team of DESAM, he contended.
He highlighted the need for cooperation between the organisers of the examination and those helping to ensure free and fair conduct of the exam.
All the activities done for smooth conduct of examination are for the welfare of everyone in the future, Somol added.
