AR interacts with students, faculties of MU; MEET aspirants

Imphal, November 19 2022:
Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted an interaction programme with students and faculties of Manipur University at Keithelmanbi Garrison on Friday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the programme commenced with weapon display organised by Assam Rifles followed by discussion on role of Assam Rifles in nation building and career opportunities in Armed Forces.
The programme saw a healthy participation of 26 students and 3 faculty members of Department of National Security Studies, Manipur University.
HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles DIG shared his experiences while serving in Manipur and motivated them to work hard and contribute actively in the nation building process.
He also encouraged them to join the Indian Armed Forces and serve the nation.
The interaction provided a platform for students to discuss all important issues including drug menace and working in harmony with Assam Rifles towards achieving common goal of peace and development, the PRO said.
On the other-hand, Loktak Battalion organised an interaction with NEET aspirants of Assam Rifles Centre of Educational Excellence at Kangvai in Churachandpur on Saturday.
The students were motivated and briefed by Churachandpur Sector Commander Brig Michael D'Souza regarding NEET preparation, personality development, health education and stress management while preparing for NEET examination, said the PRO in another release, adding that 30 girl students of Assam Rifles Centre for Educational Excellence were also briefed about the nuances of the selection procedure for joining Army Medical Corps and Assam Rifles including physical and academic requirements.
