Training programme on scientific poultry farming conducted

With an aim to uplift rural agricultural economy, Humanism Foundation in collaboration with Extension Education, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal yesterday conducted a training programme on "Scientific poultry farming" at Kalikalok Maring village in Kakching district.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Dipak Nath, Deputy Director, Directorate of Extension Education, CAU encouraged the farmers to adopt scientific farming to increase their produce and uplift the economy.
While expressing hope to maintain a fruitful long term relationship with CAU and villagers of Kalikalok, the Deputy Director also assured to extend all possible assistance.
Dr N Keinatombi Devi, Livestock Assistant, CAU demonstrated various aspects of scientific poultry farming and ways to become a successful poultry farmer.
Dr Wahengbam Rorrkychand Singh, managing trustee of Humanism Foundation stated that such a training programme would benefit the farmers of Kalikalok.
He also appealed to the participants to make use of the training and facilities provided by CAU to support their families.
25 farmers of the village participated in the training programme.
