Imphal, November 19 2022:
The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has claimed that they found two non locals from Assam who have been staying in Manipur without renewing their Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) passes while carrying out a drive at Patsoi areas today.
A press release issued by JCILPS said that the two non locals have been handed over to Patsoi police station to initiate legal proceedings.
Appealing to all the people who rent out rooms to check whether non-locals who occupy their rooms have valid ILPS passes or not, the JCILPS said that they too will launch similar drives at other locations too.
The JCILPS also sought support from the Government, all local clubs, Meira Paibi lups and individuals in finding out illegal non locals residing in Manipur.
