AR holds lecture prog, security/interaction sessions

Company Operating Base, Beheng of Khuga Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a career guidance lecture at Beheng village in Churachandpur district on Friday with the participation of 22 village youths.
While informing that timely career guidance has all the potential to direct the young energy in the right path with adequate opportunity and will help build a developed and resourceful society, PRO IGAR (S) said in a release that the lecture focused on educating the youth on various career prospects available in various fields thereby ensuring a flourishing future for the building blocks of the society.
Meanwhile, Sajik Tampak Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a security meeting at Sajik Tampak in Chandel district on Friday which was participated by 30 villagers including presidents and secretaries of Kana Chief Association, Kana Students' Organisation, Zou Sangna-opang Pawlpi, United Zou Organisation and village heads of Kana area.
The people were briefed on the advantage and development of organic farming in the Kana area after the successful completion of organic farming education tour to Sikkim.
On the other-hand, Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) carried out interaction with Kuki CSOs of Churachandpur district at Tuibong on Friday to develop a sense of security towards the area of responsibility in view of the multiple extortion threats being received recently.
According to PRO IGAR (S), Churachandpur Sector DIG Brig Michael D'Souza took stock of the situation during the interaction and assured the gathering of all types of assistance including emergency medical assistant during difficult times.
A total of 9 Kuki CSOs including KSO Churachandpur, Kuki Inpi Churachandpur, KKL and KWO from Churachandpur district attended the meet.
The CSOs appreciated the efforts of the Battalion for strengthening cooperation and synergy with local populace.
