ICICI Foundation distributes farm equipment

The distribution programme of farm equipment supported by the ICICI Foundation was conducted today at EDC (Agro Division), Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi Leikai.
N Bandana Devi, IAS, State Mission Director, Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Govt of Manipur; Jim Ronglo, State Mission Manager, MSRLM; Ambika Oinam, RH � Assets, ICICI Bank; Bony Singh, Branch Manager, ICICI Bank Porompat Branch and Pumgouthang, Project Manager, ICICI Foundation graced the programme as the presidium members, said a press note by Development Officer, ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, Manipur.
Speaking at the occasion, N Bandana Devi acknowledged and appreciated the various development interventions taken up by the ICICI Foundation in Manipur.
She also highlighted the importance and role of women in the development process of the State.

She also appealed to all the beneficiaries to work together towards development of the rural economy and State at large.
Jim Ronglo expressed gratitude to ICICI Foundation for carrying out developmental activities for the society thereby reaching out to all the communities of Manipur.
Project Manager of ICICI Foundation, Pumgouthang gave a brief introduction about ICICI Foundation and highlighted the work done in Manipur till date.
The Equipment Bank unit consisted of power tillers and paddy reapers.
This project promoted by the ICICI Foundation will support rural farmers by ensuring real time availability of farm equipment for use at nominal cost.
It may be noted that ICICI Foundation for Inclusive growth has supported nine Self Help Groups and Farmers Producer Organisation (FPO) across Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Imphal East and Imphal West districts.
The Equipment Bank will be run and managed by SHGs and FPOs.
