BSF organises 'Run Up to Teachers' Day'

With an aim to make the students aware about glorious history of BSF, its mission and vision, recruitment processes, pay scales and other benefits, STC BSF Churachandpur under the supervision of IG Umesh Kumar Nayal organised 'Run Up to Teachers' Day' campaign at Churachandpur Kendriya Vidyalaya on Thursday.
A release informed that BSF team led by IG Nayal, commandant Hidam Shubol Singh, officers, personnel and BSF retirees interacted with the school children and showed them a documentary on 'Border Security Force, India's First Line of Defence'.
Brochures and handy pamphlets on recruitment rules were also distributed to the student participants for a ready reckoner while Mahila subordinate officer, constable and BSF retirees and their families shared their views with the school children and apprised them about the adventurous and promising career in BSF.
The release informed that Arjuna awardee boxer Laishram Sarita Devi also took part in the event, met students and shared with them about her challenges and achievements in her career as a boxer.
She praised task being performed by BSF on the Pakistan and Bangladesh border in tackling the nefarious design of anti-national elements operating inside and across the border, the release added.
As a part of the event, photo gallery and weapon exhibition were also organised in the school where all the students were shown the latest weaponry and special gadgets available with the BSF, the release maintained, adding that all the students took keen interest in the affairs and showed their profound interest and willingness to choose BSF as their future career.
