Churachandpur, February 14 2022:
The second randomization of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trial (VVPAT) for allocation of polling stations in all the six assembly constituencies was carried out here on Monday at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner's office.
All the processes were done in the presence of election observers and representatives of political parties and election agents.
The entire randomization process was carried out through EVM Management System (EMS) software after which all EVMs were allotted to respective polling stations located in the six legislative assembly segments of the district.
After the randomization process, the EVMs and WPATs were shifted to dedicated strong rooms located at Old DC Office.
It may be mentioned here that the first randomization was conducted on January 19, 2022 in the presence of political parties at DEO level.
DEO/DC Pawan Yadav also chaired a meeting in the afternoon with representatives of political parties and candidates of the six ACs in the presence of general and police observers.
He urged all political parties and candidates to follow the guidelines of ECI and Covid-19 protocols and warned that any violation of Model Code of Conduct will not be tolerated.
Later, the observers appointed for the two districts held a meeting with the district nodal officers and deliberated issues related to the ensuing election.
