Governor, CM extend Lui-Ngai-Ni greetings

Many including Governor and chief minister have extended greetings to the people of Manipur especially Naga community on the joyous occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni festival.
In a message, Governor La Ganesan said that Lui-Ngai-Ni is a composite festival of all the Nagas of Manipur celebrated every year on February 15 for a bountiful and bumper harvest.
The festival has also come to be recognised as a Tourist Festival, occupying a unique position not only among the Nagas but also among other communities.
The festival brings together different communities towards the goals of peace, harmony and humanism, irrespective of caste or religion, he added, while praying for peace and prosperity for the Manipur and its people.
In his message, CM N Biren said Lui-Ngai-Ni festival, which is celebrated with splendid display of rich cultural heritage of the Naga, also serves as a crucial bond of unity amongst different communities.
"May the festival bring happiness and prosperity and also spread the message of unity, peace and brotherhood amongst all the communities of the state," he wished.
In a release, International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) extended Lui-Ngai-Ni greetings to the people and wished that the festival spreads the message of love, peace and unity in the state and across the world.
