Imphal, February 14 2022:
The proscribed Pambei led UNLF has alleged that the Government of India has launched a cyber war against the outfit and got its Facebook page UNLF-MPA removed.
In a statement, the media co-ordinator of the outfit, Th Charairongba today claimed that the Government of India through the Government of USA got the Facebook page UNLF-MPA removed and alleged that this has been done as the outfit has managed to highlight the alleged occupation of Manipur by India to all the netizens of the world.
Article 2(4) of the UN Charter clearly lays down that no country can be forcibly taken over by another country, said the statement and added the said page has been banned to stop the outfit from internationalising the alleged occupation of Manipur by India.
For 73 years, India has deprived the people of the land of their rights after it was forcibly merged in 1949, alleged the outfit and added that the cyber attack on the Facebook page, UNLF-MPA started on February 11 .
India was jolted out of its senses when it saw the massive response and assistance from different corners of the world, when the outfit posted on its Facebook page the programmes held on the raising day of MPA, the situation of the party cadres in connection with the Covid pandemic on February 10, said the statement.
It has been the policy of the Government of India to portray the armed resistance as an internal crisis, a law and order situation, charged the outfit and added that the act of getting even the information of the cadres who have been infected by the Covid pandemic reflects the level India would go to keep the people deprived of their right.
It is also a reflection of the fact that India is afraid of the movement receiving international backings, alleged the outfit.
