U-16 boys cricket: AKSDO beat YPHU by 113 runs to make semifinals

Imphal, February 14 2022:
AKSDO (Khangabok) beat YPHU (Lalambung) by 113 runs in a low-scoring match to book their place in the semifinals of the 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy on Monday.
Put in to bat, AKSDO were all out for 145 in 29 overs.
In the innings, Bishorjit Mangang (20), Laishram Bungocha (19), Moirangthem Albert (18), Laishram Nirash (15), Chingsomba Mocha (13), Sanayai Ningthoujam (12) and Saikhom Amarjit were the batters who scored in double digits.
Price Kumar was the chief destroyer for YPHU, taking 4 wickets.
Birbal Irom picked up 2 wickets as Bishworraj Sharma, Kshetrimayum Rishi andlrom Sunny accounted for one each.
A fine bowling display by AKSDO made short work of YPHU's run chase.
The Khangabok bowlers needed just 12.3 overs to bundle out AKSDO for a mere 32 and send AKSDO straight to the semifinals.
Laishram Nirash led the AKSDO attack, finishing with 3 scalps as Sanayai Ningthoujam, Chingsomba Mocha and Saikhom Kaiku took a wicket apiece.
With his haul of 3 wickets and 15 runs, Nirash earned the man-of-the-match trophy.
