The former MLA of Bishnupur AC, Govindas Konthoujam has claimed that he would win the ensuing Assembly election with majority vote with the support of the people of the constituency.
Govindas made the statement during his flag hoisting ceremony held at his residence in Ningthoukhong Keithel.
Stating that he joined the BJP after believing in its ideology and leadership, Govindas announced that he would strive to carry out the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare and prosperity of the people.
He also expressed his gratitude to the people who had gathered to bless him for the ensuing election.
Union Minister of State, Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhoomik appealed to the people to vote for BJP in the 6 ACs of Bishnupur district to bring forth a peaceful and developed Manipur.
BJP Bishnupur District Committee president, RK Bimola Devi; BJP Bishnupur Mandal president, N Raghumani; ex-MLA, M Prithivraj; chairperson and councillors of Ningthoukhong and Bishnupur Municipal Council; pradhans of Thinungei GP Nachou GP and workers of BJP attended the ceremony.

Similarly, flag hoisting ceremony of Moirang AC MLA and Congress candidate P Sharatchandra was also held on Monday.
The formal function held at Kumbi Parking was attended by MPCC president, N Loken; Bishnupur District Congress Committee president, Md Noor Rahaman; P Sharatchandra; Moirang Block Congress Committee president, Md Abdul Hamid; chairpersons of Moirang and Kwakta Municipal Council; and supporters of P Sharatchandra.
KAKCHING
Flag hoisting ceremony of Kakching AC MLA and NPP candidate, Mayanglambam Rameshwar was also held today at his residence in Makha Lou, Kakching.
Speaking on the occasion, Rameshwar claimed that BJP will not win more than 20 seats in the ensuing Assembly election as the party has ignored its loyal and hardworking members in the allocation of tickets.
He also mentioned that the party and candidates who are genuinely concerned about the people and are working for their welfare will emerge as winners in the ensuing election.
Moreover, the flag hoisting ceremony of Dr Radheshyam Yumnam, BJP candidate for Hiyanglam AC was also held today at his residence in Langmeidong Bazar.
It was attended by former Education Minister, Thokchom Radheshyam; Kakching Zilla Parishad adhyaksha, P Jiten and other members of BJP.
Flag hoisting ceremony of Dr Kh Ratankumar, ex-Minister and INC candidate for Mayang Imphal constituency was also conducted today at his residence in Mayang Imphal Konchak.
It was attended by leaders of Congress party and supporters from across the constituency.

Flag hoisting ceremony of Konsam Michael, Shiv Sena candidate for Thoubal AC was also held on Monday at Thoubal Melaground.
It was attended by Shiv Sena gi national leader and former MP, Chandrakant Khaire; Shiv Sena Manipur State president, MTombi and other members of the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrakant Khaire stated that Shiv Sena is going to contest the ensuing Assembly election in 9 ACs of Manipur.
Konsam Michael announced that if he wins the election he will work as per the aspirations of the people to bring forth an enduring change and development in the constituency.
