AMUCO hosts Hojai team

All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) welcomed a team from Hojai, Assam who came in search of their roots and to pray at religiously important places in different parts of the state.
In a release, AMUCO secretary (publicity) Laishram Krishnachandra informed that a 24-member team including 17 women led by Poirei Leima Nupi Lup, Hojai, Assam came to Manipur for a ten-day visit.
The team was hosted by AMUCO at its office and guided the team in visiting the sacred 'Kangla'.
The visit to Kangla was also attended by members of AMUCO led by its president Pheiroijam Nando Luwang and AMAWOVA team.
Manipur University of Culture vice chancellor Prof Paonam Gunindro and Archaeology Department superintendent warmly welcomed the visitors and also extended help in praying at the important shrines and sites inside Kangla fort.
They will also visit several other important places of the state, he informed while assuring that Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, AMUCO and AMAWOVA will continue to provide all possible help during their stay till the end.
Stressing the need for building relationship among the blood brothers of Manipur, Krishnachandra conveyed the objective of living together, developing togeth? er and fighting together to Manipuris living in different parts of the world.
