Japan ex-PM Shinzo Abe condoled

Imphal, July 12 2022:
Imphal Peace Museum and Manipur Tourism Forum jointly organised a condolence meeting on the demise of former Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the Museum's premises on Tuesday.
In a release, Imphal Peace Museum director Haobam Joyremba informed that the one of the prized possessions of the Museum is a framed Japanese calligraphy titled "Heiwa" which means 'Peace' written by the Shinzo Abe himself.
His death is a great loss for the world and Manipur.
He was supposed to visit the Museum in 2020 but due to CAB agitation in Guwahati it was cancelled and now with his death it will remain a dream, which is very regretful, he said.
The release also mentioned that the programme was marked by paying of floral tributes to the photo of the late ex-Prime Minister of Japan and writing of condolence messages which will be sent to Japanese Embassy and then to Tokyo.
Paying of tribute and condolence message writing will continue for three days, he said appealed the public to come to the Museum to pay their respect.
The condolence meeting was also attended by Manipur Tourism Forum founder president Dr Thangjam Dhabali, president Kh Krishnan, vice president Pangambam Kunjabihari, secretary Sinam Harjeet and museum curator L Robertson among others.
