SHADOW off to flying start in MNCA Boys Tournament opener

SHADOW (Thangmeiband) recorded a mas sive 285-run win over AKSDO (Khangabok) as the 1st MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2021-22 got underway at PCC Groung, Mayaikoibi, on Tuesday.
Thomsan smashed 79 off 39 balls to help SHADOW pile up a total of 307/8 in 30 overs.
Other key contributors in the innings were Arubam Goshan Singh (35), Tyrus Chabungbam (28), Sagat-pam Lanchenba (23), Semson (23) and Pebam Leishamba Mangang (17 not out).
Chasing a huge total, AKSDO wilted under pressure and ended up managing only 22 in 9.2 overs.
Saikhom Thoihenba Singh (6), Laishram Jamesh Singh (4) and Borish Khundrakpam (1) were the only run-getters in the Khangabok side's run chase.
Pebam Leishamba Mangang made light work of AKSDO's batting order as he picked up four wickets, with Arubam Goshan Singh, Sagatpam Lanchenba, Chinglemba Haobam and Thomsan chipping in with one wicket apiece to steer SHADOW to a comprehensive victory.
Earlier, Raylight Ningthoujam claimed three wickets while Bidyananda Ningthoujam, Ningthoujam Rohit Meitei, Chingamba Elangbam and Moirangthem MG Chan Meitei took one wicket each for AKSDO.
Pebam Leishamba Mangang, who took four wickets and made 17 (not out), was adjudged as the man of the match.
