Leishemba bowls Shadow CC to massive 285 run victory against AKSDO in MNCA U-14 Boys tourney opener

Pebam Leishemba Mangang picked four wickets to lead Shadow CC, Thangmeiband to a 285 run victory against AKSDO, Khangabok in the opening match (Group A) of the 1st MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2021-22 at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi today.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Shadow CC batters took on AKDSO bowlers with ease to pile up a staggering total of 307 runs for 8 in 30 overs which saw the Khangabok side bowlers conceded 89 runs extra.
Openers, Thomsan and Sagatpam Lanchenba gave Shadow CC the initial flourish and a notable 51 run first wicket partnership before Lanchenba (23) was dismissed by Raylight Ningthoujam in the 6th over.

Thomsan then kept the scoreboard ticking with able assistance from Tyrus Chabungbam and completed 39 ball 79 on the back of 12 fours and 4 sixes before MC Chan Meitei got him off in the 14th over as the scoreboard read 150 .
Tyrus Chabungbam (28), Arubam Goshan (35), Samson (23) and Pebam Telheiba (17 not out) then took Shadow CC to a massive total of 307 runs.
In the chase, AKSDO were never in contention and were reduced to 10 for 3 within 2.4 overs as three top orders departed on ducks.
It was Pebam Leishemba who bowled out Moirangthem MC Chan Meitei in the opening over for duck before bowling out Chinglemba Elangbam for a 2 ball duck in the third over which also saw Md Ushmal Ali getting run out for a 6-ball duck.
Wickets kept tumbling including four more batters on ducks with Pebam Leishemba and others taking their turns to put immense pressure on AKSDO line up before the innings came to a crashing end within 9.2 overs with only 22 runs on the scoreboard.
Pebam Leishamba emerged wrecker-in-chief as he returned with the best bowling figures of 4 for 14 in 3 overs to rightfully earn the man of the match accolade.
Goshan, Sagatpam Lanc-henba, Chinglembam Haobam and Thomsan also managed a wicket each to help Shadow CC seal the huge victory.
Hosts PCC will play PTCC, Patsoi in the Group B opener tomorrow.
